ໃນບົດລາຍງານ ຂອງທະນາຄານໂລກ Doing Business 2019 ເຊິ່ງຜົນການສຶກສາຄວາມງ່າຍດາຍໃນການເນີນທຸລະກິດຈໍານວນ 190 ປະເທດ ຊີ້ໃຫ້ເຫັນວ່າ ສປປ ລາວ ຍັງຄົງຢູ່ໃນອັນດັບຕໍ່າທີ່ສຸດໃນພາກພື້ນອາຊີຕາເວັນອອກ ແລະ ເຂດປາຊີຟິກ, ຄືພຽງແຕ່ຖືກຈັດໃນອັນດັບດີກວ່າ ສ ມຽນມາ (171) ແລະ ຕີມໍເລສເຕ້ (178). ແຕ່ເມືອທຽບໃສ່ປະເທດເພື່ອນບ້ານອາຊຽນ ແລະ ປະເທດຄູ່ແຂ່ງໃນພາກພື້ນແລ້ວ ສປປ ລາວ ກໍຍັງຢູ່ໃນອັນດັບທີ່ທ້າຍຢູ່ ເຊັ່ນ: ກໍາປູເຈຍ (138), ສສ ຫວຽດນາມ (69), ຣຊ ໄທ (27), ມາເລເຊຍ (15) ເຊິ່ງ ສປປ ລາວ ຖືກຈັດຢູ່ໃນອັນດັບທີ 154. ໃນ 10 ໝວດຕົວຊີ້ວັດ ມີພຽງໝວດຕົວຊີ້ວັດການຄ້າຂ້າມແດນ ທີ່ມີການປ່ຽນແປງໃນລຳດັບດີຂຶ້ນ ຄືຈາກລໍາດັບທີ 124 (2018) ມາເປັນ 76 (2019). ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ພາລະກິດຂອງບັນດາຂະແໜງການກ່ຽວຂ້ອງ ຍັງມີຫຼາຍບັນຫາທີ່ຈະຕ້ອງໄດ້ບຸກທະລຸ ເພື່ອສືບຕໍ່ປັບປຸງແວດລ້ອມການດຳເນີນທຸລະກິດໃນ ສປປ ລາວ ໃຫ້ນັບມື້ນັບດີຂື້ນ ໃຫ້ເປັນທີ່ດຶງດູດນັກລົງທຶນທີ່ມີຄຸນນະພາບທັງພາຍໃນ ແລະ ຕ່າງປະເທດ ເຂົ້າມາລົງທຶນໃນ ສປປ ລາວ ໃຫ້ນັບນື້ນັບຫຼາຍຂື້ນ.

Lao PDR ranks 154 for the ease of doing business. The Doing Business 2019 report of the World Bank Group found that Lao PDR ranks in East Asia and the Pacific region remain among the lowest, just above Myanmar (171) and Timor-Leste (178); and significantly behind most of its ASEAN neighbors and competitors in the region, such as: Cambodia (138), Vietnam (69), Thailand (27), and Malaysia (15). Thus, the improvement of its business environment remains significant and Lao PDR is now ranked 154 of 190 in the ease of doing business ranking. One of them is Trading across border indicator, which is improved from 124 (2018) to 76 (2019). Therefore, concerned sectors will address the issues to improve for a more concise and prompt procedure of business operation in Lao PDR as part of investment attraction to increase the capacity building of domestic business competition and untangle the difficulties of domestic business operation.
