ຈາກການແຜ່ລະບາດຂອງພະຍາດ Covid-19 ໃນປະເທດເຮົາໄດ້ສົ່ງຜົນກະທົບຕໍ່ເສດຖະກິດຂອງປະເທດເຮົາ. ສະຖາບັນຄົ້ນຄວ້າເສດຖະກິດແຫ່ງຊາດໄດ້ອອກບົດລາຍງານຜົນຄົ້ນຄວ້າການແຜ່ລະບາດຂອງພະຍາດ Covid-19; ຜົນກະທົບທາງເສດຖະກິດ ແລະ ຂໍ້ສະເໜີແນະບາງມາດຕະການສໍາລັບໄລຍະສັ້ນ, ກາງ ແລະ ຍາວປະຈໍາເດືອນ ເມສາ 2020 ສະບັບເລກທີ 005/ສຄສຊ ລົງວັນທີ 19 ເມສາ 2020 ເຊິ່ງຄາດຄະເນວ່າ ເສດຖະກິດແຫ່ງຊາດ GDP ຈະເຕີບໂຕໃນລະດັບ 3,3% ໃນປີ 2020 ຕໍ່າກວ່າປີ 2019 ໂດຍໃນປີນັ້ນເຕີບໂຕ 6,1%; ທະນາຄານ ADB ຄາດວ່າ 3,5%; ທະນາຄານໂລກ WB 3,6%; ກອງທຶນສາກົນ IMF 0,7%. ສໍາລັບປີ 2020 ທຸລະກິດທ່ອງທ່ຽວເປັນຂະແໜງທີ່ໄດ້ຮັບຜົນກະທົບທໍາອິດ ຄາດວ່າຈະສູນເສຍລາຍຮັບບໍ່ຫຼຸດ 350 ລ້ານໂດລາ ຫຼືປະມານ 3.111 ຕື້ກີບ.

economic measures to address impacts from Covid-19
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the virus has adversely affected the national economy of our country. The National Institute for Economic Research issued the Report No. 005/NIER dated April 19, 2020 which reveals economic impacts of Covid-19 and some recommended measures for the short, medium and long-term implementation. The report forecasts 3.3% of GDP growth for 2020 which is lower than the rate in 2019 of 6.1%. Apart from this report, ADB also forecasts the GDP growth at 3.5%, the World Bank at 3.6% and the IMF at 0.7%. In 2020, tourism industry is the first sector to be affected with an expected loss of revenue of 350 million US dollar or approximately 3.111 billion kip.
International trade is another sector experienced a loss of revenue of about 483.3 million US dollar or approximately 4.243 billion kip. On April 2, 2020, Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Investment, held a press conference on behalf of the government to inform the general publics about economic measures in address impacts of Covid-19.
