ອຸດສາຫະກໍາປຸງແຕ່ງ (Manufacturing) ເປັນຂະແໜງໜຶ່ງ ທີ່ສໍາຄັນຕໍ່ການພັດທະນາ ກໍຄືການຜະລິດສິນຄ້າ, ສ້າງວຽກເຮັດງານທໍາ ສ້າງລາຍຮັບ ແລະ ປັບປຸງຊີວິດການເປັນຢູ່ຂອງປະຊາຊົນ. ເຖິງວ່າຂະແໜງນີ້ຈະມີການຂະຫຍາຍຕົວຢ່າງຕໍ່ເນື່ອງກໍຕາມ ແຕ່ການພັດທະນາຍັງຢູ່ໃນຂອບເຂດຈໍາກັດ ແລະ ຄວາມອາດສາມາດໃນການແຂ່ງຂັນກໍຍັງບໍ່ທັນສູງເມື່ອທຽບກັບປະເທດອ້ອມຂ້າງ.

Progress of Manufacturing Industry
A manufacturing industry is one of the most important sectors to the development and the production of goods, employments, generation of income and improvement of people’s livelihoods. Although this sector is continuously improved, the scope of improvement is still limited and the country’s competitiveness is still low comparing to its neighboring countries.
The Department of Industry and Handicraft reported that the manufacturing industry has been continuously developed, and during 2016-2018, the development rate was 8,24% per year which resulted in production value of LAK 27,963 billion. In such amount, the major manufacturing businesses that could generate income more than 60% of the total production value were brewery and soft drink manufacturing businesses, garment industry, construction material production business and basic metal manufacturing industry.
