Dear readers! The total 7 billion dollar of investment was spent in the previous year. This number was revealed during the 2019 annual planning and investment meeting held in December 2019.
Ms. Khamchanh Vongseneboun, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, stated that: during the past 9 months of 2019, the government approved 37 projects of both domestic and foreign private entities with the total value of over 7 billion dollar and the registered capital of more than 2 billion dollar (just for those approved by the central government). The amount of incoming fund via a banking system during the past 6 months of 2019 accounted for approximately 223 million dollar. The government was able to register 10,200 units of industrial and commercial enterprise with the cumulative investment volume of over 74,787 billion kip or 9 billion dollar.
