Having your finger on the pulse gives you

the advantage – future consumer groups with the greatest purchasing power

Engaging in borderless business in the digital era is sure to be highly competitive because as soon as you start to be known, a plethora of other businesses will transform their businesses to survive but nobody can be sure that after having adapted their businesses, they will do so because if they are unable to set clear targets as to which customer groups they will be selling their goods and services to – customer groups, including age groups, gender, status, occupation, needs, life problems, and consumer behavior, it will be essential for business owners and product and service designers to understand them and be able to respond and resolve the problems in their customer groups successfully.

If, however, we are unaware of the behavior of our customer groups and that each generation is always different from the next, our regular customers shall not ensure our survival because the customer groups of the past will require different things. For example, if your customer group is 25-35 years old, in 5-10 years, they will have become older and your goods and services may no longer be desirable for them. This is another factor causing businesspeople to fail.

So today, we are bringing some information to you on future market trends and the behavior of something which has become known as Gen Z or Generation Z, which is hoped to have the greatest purchasing power of all groups which follow it. Generation Z (Gen Z) refers to the consumer group of people born between 1996 and 2010 so are currently aged 22 years up and they are set to be a working age group with progressively increasing purchasing power.

The group which has grown up with all kinds of facilities, possesses the tech skills to access diverse information, learns fast, and attaches importance to equality based on gender, ethnicity, religion, race, and skin color and to environmental and social issues, and likes to be sure of themselves without taking risks is the group who spend time playing around on their telephones, especially using social media, such as Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and such like and they spend an average of five hours a day on this but the interesting thing is that Facebook is not popular among this group, considering it to be a communications channel for the elderly.

Gen Z consumers tend to trade online by obtaining information and comparing products over the internet. Entrepreneurs must therefore adapt and start showing interest in this group while creating product brands and services which are clear and are able to demonstrate all dimensions of their responsibility over social and environmental issues and for their customers and raise their information services from old redundant formats to mobile phones and social media, as this is what Gen Z is interested in. Furthermore, Gen Z has a distaste for marketing methods and old-fashioned advertising styles, such as newspapers, magazines, television, and radio but they like to use interactive online social media, which simulates them to participate in activities, thus creating value and enabling them to share them with their friends and families so that they too can see greater value in a product or service. In order to understand future market trends and cater to our customer groups correctly, we have to change our brand publicity channels because Facebook is currently the most effective. As for Gen Z, for example, and those no longer interested in Facebook, we have to move our publicity to Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram, which customers are interested in and we need to ditch the publicity formats of the past, such as newspapers, magazines, and radio. Secondly, we have to build an image for our organization and this is of paramount importance as Gen Z tends to show great interest in the right to gender equitability, sexual rights (including LGBT), and racial issues. Therefore in order to attract your target group, you have to build an image for your organization which is consistent with the desires of your customers. For example, you must not be exclusive about your customer group and you have to show a standpoint which promotes equality between people and such like. Thirdly, when creating publicity media, Gen X likes bite-size content and infographics, using a single picture to convey your message and the importance of the product. Video is another option but the important thing it so keep it colorful but easy to understand.

If you can achieve the things mentioned above, you can be sure of a future in which you become an entrepreneur who will win the hearts and minds of Gen Z and your brand will be headed for certain success.
